Can the use of Almocef-TZ Injection cause diarrhea?::: Yes, the use of Almocef-TZ Injection can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.| How long does Almocef-TZ Injection takes to work?::: Usually, Almocef-TZ Injection starts working soon after taking it. However, it may take some days to kill all the harmful bacteria and make you feel better.| What if I don't get better after using Almocef-TZ Injection?::: Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
Almocef-TZ Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftazidime and Tazobactum. Ceftazidime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftazidime against bacteria.
