It works by lowering your immune system?s response to these conditions thereby reducing symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching and other allergic-type reactions.\u003cbr>This medicine is given orally (by mouth). You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. Do not stop taking it without your doctor?s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.

Do not use Methylprednisolone with Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted). If essential, please consult your doctor. Methylprednisolone may reduce efficacy of Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted).
| -Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route): Severe
It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Methylprednisolone before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Concurrent use may increase the risk of fatal infections.
