Almet 5mg Injection is a prescription medicine used to treat nausea, vomiting, indigestion, and heartburn. It prevents the feeling of fullness during or shortly after a meal and help reduce symptoms caused by the flow of the stomach contents back into the food pipe. Almet 5mg Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should take this medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are restlessness, fatigue, and weakness. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It also causes drowsiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. This medicine may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration.Before taking this medicine, you should let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor.

Think about what foods trigger indigestion and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight, and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3-4 hours of going to bed.

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Almet 5mg Injection may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol. | - Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Almet 5mg Injection is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby. | - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Almet 5mg Injection may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor. | - Driving : UNSAFE

Almet 5mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.Almet 5mg Injection may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive. | - Kidney : CAUTION

Does Almet 5mg Injection work for morning sickness?::: Almet 5mg Injection can help in relieving morning sickness. However, this is not an approved indication for its use. There are other medicines also available to treat morning sickness. Consult a doctor if you need treatment for morning sickness as you should not take any medicine during pregnancy without consulting a doctor.| Can I take Almet 5mg Injection with ranitidine?::: Almet 5mg Injection can be taken with ranitidine. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Talk to your doctor before taking the two medicines together.

Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms. Concurrent use may increase the risk of restlessness, uncontrollable movements, tremors, rigid muscles, increased salivation, tongue-twisting, etc.

Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms. Your doctor may adjust the dose if required. Concomitant use may cause an increase in blood serotonin levels. Patients may experience agitation, increased body temperature, fast heartbeat, muscle rigidity, and loss of coordination.
