In Treatment of Severe bacterial infections Alinzo 600mg Tablet works by killing bacteria which can cause serious infections. It is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as infections of lungs (pneumonia), skin, and soft tissues. This medicine usually makes you feel better very quickly but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alinzo 600mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.Avoid Alinzo 600mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Alinzo 600mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body. | - Driving : UNSAFE
Alinzo 600mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. | - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Alinzo 600mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment is recommended. | - Liver : CAUTION
Alinzo 600mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
If you miss a dose of Alinzo 600mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Can the use of Alinzo 600mg Tablet cause diarrhea?::: Yes, the use of Alinzo 600mg Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.| What foods should I avoid while taking Alinzo 600mg Tablet?::: You should avoid taking large quantities of food that contain high tyramine in it. Foods that are fermented, cured, aged or spoiled contain high amount of tyramine e.g cheese, red wine, pickle, over ripe fruits etc. Consuming tyramine while taking Alinzo 600mg Tablet can result in elevation of blood pressure, which may result in an emergency situation.
Alinzo 600mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
-Rasagiline (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Linezolid with Rasagiline. If Linezolid is essential, ensure a gap of At least 2 weeks between taking Linezolid and Rasagiline. Please consult your doctor. Concomitant use may cause an increase in blood serotonin levels. Patients may experience agitation, increased body temperature, fast heartbeat, muscle rigidity, and loss of coordination.
| -Reboxetine (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Reboxetine with Linezolid. Concurrent use may cause a fatal increase in blood pressure.
| -Safinamide (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Safinamide with Linezolid. If Safinamide is essential, ensure a gap of At least 2 weeks between taking Safinamide and Linezolid. Please consult your doctor. Concurrent use may cause a fatal increase in blood pressure.
| -Vortioxetine (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Vortioxetine with Linezolid. If essential, watch out for symptoms such as flushing, increased blood pressure, weakness, or impaired coordination. Please consult your doctor. Concomitant use may cause a fatal increase in blood serotonin levels. Patients may experience agitation, increased body temperature, fast heartbeat, muscle rigidity, and loss of coordination.
| -Ziprasidone (Oral Route): Severe
Watch out for symptoms such as tremors, fever, diarrhea or agitation and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may discontinue the medicines accordingly. Concurrent use may cause serotonin syndrome.
