It is a potent and very toxic medicine and you should discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Alimta 500mg Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body. | - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
It is not known whether Alimta 500mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Is Alimta 500mg Injection a vesicant?::: No. Alimta 500mg Injection is not a vesicant.| Is Alimta 500mg Injection safe?::: Alimta 500mg Injection is safe if used at prescribed doses for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor.| Does Alimta 500mg Injection cause hair loss?::: Yes. Alimta 500mg Injection is a prescription chemotherapy medication and hair loss is one of the possible side effects.
Alimta 500mg Injection interferes with the growth of DNA and RNA of the cancer cells by substituting their building blocks. It prevents the cancer cells from growing and multiplying.
-Cisplatin (Injection Route): Severe
If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, fatigue, hair loss, rash, numbness or tingling in the hands & feet and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the doses as per the observations. Pemetrexed may increase the metabolism of Cisplatin.
| -Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route): Severe
Pemetrexed may reduce efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated). Pemetrexed may reduce efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).Do not use Pemetrexed with Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).
