Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medication. It is given to children to treat a wide range of bacterial infections targeting the ear, throat, teeth, lungs, heart, skin, and gastrointestinal tract. It also helps treat bacterial infections that can occur in children with HIV due to their weak immune systems. Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup is also effective against some infections (e.g., MAC or Mycobacterium avium complex) seen in people with reduced immunity. It stops the bacteria from growing, which helps to resolve your symptoms and cure your infection. This medicine is taken orally, preferably either one hour before or 2 hours after a meal. No antacids should be taken within 2 hours of taking this medicine. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.Common side effects with this medicine include diarrhea, nausea, abnormal taste, indigestion, abdominal pain, headache, vomiting, and rash. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if you find these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.Inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy or heart problems before taking this medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

In Treatment of Bacterial infections Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, and skin. It is also effective against a bacteria known as H. pylori, which is associated with peptic ulcer disease. It stops further growth of the bacteria causing the infection and helps treat your infection.\u003cbr>\u003cbr>This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well and use. Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup may be taken with or without food.Avoid Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks. | - Breast feeding : CAUTION

Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body. | - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup is usually considered safe to use in children with mild to moderate kidney impairment. There is limited data available on the use of Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup in patients with liver disease.

However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| Which all lab tests should my child undergo while taking Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup on a long term basis?::: The doctor may prescribe getting kidney function tests, liver function tests, and baseline ECG on a periodic basis to keep a check on your child?s condition.| Can Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup affect my child?s digestion?::: Since children have a sensitive stomach, they may develop a stomach upset while taking medicines. Aliclair 125mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the bacteria from utilizing proteins that are necessary for the bacteria to survive and perform important functions. By doing so, it stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading.
-Domperidone (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Domperidone with Clarithromycin. Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and can be fatal.

| -Dronedarone (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Dronedarone with Clarithromycin. Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and may be fatal.

| -Eplerenone (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Eplerenone with Clarithromycin. Clarithromycin may raise blood levels of Eplerenone.

| -Carbamazepine (Oral Route): Severe

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as impaired coordination, double vision, dizziness or confusion and consult your doctor if you experience them. Your doctor may monitor and adjust the dose of Carbamazepine accordingly. Clarithromycin may raise blood levels of Carbamazepine.

| -Amiodarone (Oral Route): Severe

Factors such as old age, chronic heart issues, or low potassium levels may more frequently cause disturbance in heart rhythm, and your doctor may consider ECG monitoring in their presence. Concurrent use may cause serious disturbance in heart rhythm.
