In Prophylaxis of surgery associated Bacterial infections Alicamox-CV Injection contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.\u003cbr>\u003cbr>This combination medicine can be used in the prophylaxis of surgery associated bacterial infections such as gastrointestinal tract, pelvic cavity, head and neck, biliary tract surgery. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Consuming alcohol with Alicamox-CV Injection does not usually cause any harmful side effects. | - Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Alicamox-CV Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. | - Liver : CAUTION

Alicamox-CV Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine

If you miss a dose of Alicamox-CV Injection, get the injection as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
