Alfine 4 Tablet is a medicine used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions such as severe allergic conditions, asthma, rheumatic disorder, skin and eye disorders, and systemic lupus erythematosus. It provides relief by preventing the release of substances that cause inflammation. Alfine 4 Tablet should be taken with or without food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose and duration will depend on what you are being treated for. You should always take the amount prescribed. Do not take a larger dose or use it more often. Keep taking it regularly even if you feel well. Some conditions will become worse if you stop using this medicine.The most common side effects of this medicine include infection, increased blood pressure, acne, mood disroder and decreased potassium level in blood. If these side effects bother you or do not go away, your doctor may suggest ways of preventing or reducing them. The use of this medicine may lower your ability to fight infections so avoid being near people who might pass on infections such as measles, chickenpox, or flu.Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have brittle bones (osteoporosis), mood disorders, high blood pressure, or liver disease. Also, tell your doctor if you have diabetes, this medicine may increase blood glucose levels which can cause or worsen diabetes. Many other drugs may affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all other medicines you are using, to make sure it is safe. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

In Treatment of Allergic conditions Alfine 4 Tablet is used to treat different inflammatory and allergic conditions including arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis which affect the skin, blood, eyes, lungs, stomach, and nervous system. It works by lowering your immune system?s response to these conditions thereby reducing symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching and other allergic-type reactions.\u003cbr>This medicine is given orally (by mouth). You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. Do not stop taking it without your doctor?s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alfine 4 Tablet may be taken with or without food.Avoid Alfine 4 Tablet with dietary sodium.

Alfine 4 Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks. | - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Alfine 4 Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor. | - Driving : SAFE

Alfine 4 Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.Undesirable effects, such as dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbances and fatigue are possible after treatment with Alfine 4 Tablet. This may affect your driving ability. | - Kidney : CAUTION

Alfine 4 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. | - Liver : CAUTION

If you miss a dose of Alfine 4 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
What is Alfine 4 Tablet used for?::: Alfine 4 Tablet has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant properties. It is used to treat conditions like allergic conditions, anaphylaxis, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory skin diseases. It is also helpful in treating autoimmune diseases (these diseases happen when your body?s immune system attacks the body itself and causes damage) and certain eye disorders.| How does Alfine 4 Tablet work?::: Alfine 4 Tablet works by reducing the inflammation which helps in treating many illnesses caused due to active inflammation. In addition to that, it stops the autoimmune reactions which occur when your body's immune system attacks the body itself and causes damage.| Is Alfine 4 Tablet effective?::: Alfine 4 Tablet is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Alfine 4 Tablet too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.| When will I feel better after taking Alfine 4 Tablet?::: Alfine 4 Tablet effectively treats pain and inflammation. However, its effect may vary from person to person, depending on the condition you are being treated for and also your body weight. Your doctor will prescribe you Alfine 4 Tablet in the dose that suits your requirement. Do not alter your dose thinking that a higher dose will provide faster relief. Rather, you may end up having undesirable side effects. Be patient, and follow your doctor?s instructions regarding the use of Alfine 4 Tablet. Consult your doctor if you do not see improvement in your condition even after completing the full course of treatment.| What if I forget to take a dose of Alfine 4 Tablet?::: If you forget a dose of Alfine 4 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose on the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.| Is Alfine 4 Tablet safe?::: Alfine 4 Tablet is safe if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it exactly as directed and do not skip any dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and let your doctor know if any of the side effects bother you.
Alfine 4 Tablet is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.
-Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route): Severe

Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms. Methylprednisolone may reduce the efficacy of Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated).

Your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely. Concurrent use may disturb the heart rhythm.

Do not use Methylprednisolone with Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted). If essential, please consult your doctor. Methylprednisolone may reduce efficacy of Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted).

| -Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route): Severe

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Methylprednisolone before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Concurrent use may increase the risk of fatal infections.
