Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit from Alerkim Injection.| Does Alerkim Injection cause weight gain?::: Yes, Alerkim Injection may cause weight gain, especially when taken at high doses and for a long time or repeated short courses. Please consult your doctor if you experience weight gain after taking Alerkim Injection.

Alerkim Injection is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

-Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted) (Injection Route): Life-threatening

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Betamethasone before taking Herpes Zoster / Shingles Vaccine (Recombinant, Adjuvanted). Concomitant use may cause lethal infections.

| -Infliximab (Injection Route): Severe

You should watch for any unusual signs and symptoms of infection and report it to the doctor. Your doctor may monitor the blood cell counts and other investigations of infection. Concurrent use may increase the risk of serious infection in the body.

| -Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) (Oral Route): Severe

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Betamethasone before taking Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated). Cholera Vaccine (Inactivated) may raise blood levels of Betamethasone and its active form.Concomitant use may cause infections.

| -Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine (Injection Route): Severe

It is recommended to wait at least 3 months after discontinuing a high dose of Betamethasone before taking Purified Vi Polysaccharide Typhoid Vaccine. Concomitant use may cause lethal infections.

| -Chloroquine (Oral Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor your potassium levels closely. Concurrent use may disturb the heart rhythm.
