Alcysta Tablet has antioxidant properties which helps in elimination of toxic materials such as urea from the kidneys and improves kidney function. When combined with a low or very low protein diet, it helps slow down the progression of CKD and improves the quality of life. Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully and take it as advised to get maximum benefit.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alcysta Tablet should be taken with or after food.

There is limited data available on the use of Alcysta Tablet in patients with liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Alcysta Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
What is Alcysta Tablet used for? ::: Alcysta Tablet is used to help prevent contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) in people at high risk, such as those with kidney problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure, older age, dehydration, unstable blood flow, or those taking kidney-harming medicines.| Who should not take Alcysta Tablet? ::: Alcysta Tablet should not be taken by anyone who is allergic to taurine, acetylcysteine, or any other ingredient in the medicine.| Can people with severe asthma take Alcysta Tablet? ::: Alcysta Tablet is not recommended for people having a sudden, severe asthma attack. Asthma patients should be closely monitored during its use.| Can Alcysta Tablet cause allergic reactions? ::: Yes, severe allergic reactions are possible with Alcysta Tablet use. Symptoms may include low blood pressure, breathing difficulty, rash, or swelling. Medical supervision is essential during treatment.| Can Alcysta Tablet interact with other medicines? ::: Yes, taking Alcysta Tablet with cough-suppressing medicines may cause mucus build-up by reducing the cough reflex. Oral antibiotics should be taken at least two hours apart from this medicine.
