Albiclat 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. It is effective in most infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, and skin. It is also effective against a bacteria known as H. pylori, which is associated with peptic ulcer disease. Albiclat 500mg Tablet is also effective against some infections (e.g., MAC or Mycobacterium avium complex) seen in people with reduced immunity. It stops the bacteria from growing, which helps to resolve your symptoms and cure your infection. This medicine is taken orally, preferably either one hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.Common side effects with this medicine include diarrhea, nausea, indigestion, abdominal pain, headache, vomiting, and rash. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if you find these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.Inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy or heart problems before taking this medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

In Treatment of Bacterial infections Albiclat 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, and skin. It is also effective against a bacteria known as H. pylori, which is associated with peptic ulcer disease. It stops further growth of the bacteria causing the infection and helps treat your infection.\u003cbr>\u003cbr>This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Albiclat 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.Avoid Albiclat 500mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Albiclat 500mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks. | - Breast feeding : CAUTION

Albiclat 500mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body. | - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Albiclat 500mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor. | - Kidney : CAUTION

Albiclat 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. | - Liver : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

There is limited data available on the use of Albiclat 500mg Tablet in patients with liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Albiclat 500mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Can the use of Albiclat 500mg Tablet cause diarrhea?::: Yes, the use of Albiclat 500mg Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.| How long does Albiclat 500mg Tablet takes to work?::: Usually, Albiclat 500mg Tablet starts working soon after taking it. However, it may take some days to kill all the harmful bacteria and make you feel better. | What if I don't get better after using Albiclat 500mg Tablet?::: Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.| Can the use of Albiclat 500mg Tablet cause infertility?::: There is no firm evidence to suggest that the use of Albiclat 500mg Tablet will cause infertility in males or females.
Albiclat 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.
-Pimozide (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Pimozide with Clarithromycin. Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and may be fatal.

| -Ranolazine (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Clarithromycin with Ranolazine. Clarithromycin may raise blood levels of Ranolazine.Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm.

| -Domperidone (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Domperidone with Clarithromycin. Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and can be fatal.

| -Simvastatin (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Simvastatin with Clarithromycin. If Clarithromycin is essential, your doctor may temporarily stop Simvastatin. Clarithromycin may raise blood levels of Simvastatin.Concurrent use may cause muscle damage.

| -Ivabradine (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Ivabradine with Clarithromycin. Clarithromycin may raise blood levels of Ivabradine.Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm.
