Give Albaxo M Oral Suspension to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after food. It should be given to the child exactly as prescribed by the doctor. In Treatment of Bacterial & parasitic infections Albaxo M Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections. These infections may include tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, burning sensation while passing urine, and genital tract infection. Albaxo M Oral Suspension inhibits the growth of infection-causing organisms by stopping them from multiplying. It is most likely that your child?s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. Make sure to complete the full course of treatment even if your child feels better. Stopping the medicine abruptly by yourself may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Albaxo M Oral Suspension may be taken with or without food.

Do not panic. You can give the missed dose as soon as you remember unless your child?s doctor has advised otherwise. Remember not to double the dose to catch up with the missed one. In case of any confusion, do consult your child?s doctor.
What if I give excess Albaxo M Oral Suspension by mistake?::: Although an extra dose of Albaxo M Oral Suspension will not have any side effects, you must always be vigilant. If you think you have given too much Albaxo M Oral Suspension to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Overdose increases the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headaches, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child?s doctor on an immediate basis if you notice any of these symptoms.| What should I do if my child shows no improvement even after taking Albaxo M Oral Suspension for the prescribed duration?::: Ineffective treatment with Albaxo M Oral Suspension could mean that the medicine is not able to act against the infection-causing bacteria. In such a case, visit your child?s doctor, who may prescribe some other antibiotic, having a more specific action against the infection-causing bacteria.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as Albaxo M Oral Suspension?::: Albaxo M Oral Suspension can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Albaxo M Oral Suspension. Also, check with your child?s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Albaxo M Oral Suspension?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| What should I tell the doctor before giving Albaxo M Oral Suspension to my child?::: Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy to sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that Albaxo M Oral Suspension may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.| My child has been passing red-brown urine ever since he started taking Albaxo M Oral Suspension. Is it normal?::: Yes, it is normal. Albaxo M Oral Suspension contains an active ingredient called metronidazole, which can cause red-brown urine. It is a harmless side effect. It will subside once the medicine is stopped after the completion of the treatment.
