If you miss a dose of AL Pthrin 5% Cream, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose.\t\t

What is AL Pthrin 5% Cream used for?::: AL Pthrin 5% Cream is used for the treatment of scabies, a contagious skin condition caused by mites that burrow into the skin and cause intense itching and rash.| How should AL Pthrin 5% Cream be applied?::: Apply AL Pthrin 5% Cream to clean, dry, and cool skin and gently rub it in. For most adults and children over 2 years, it should be applied over the entire body except the head and face. Leave the medicine on for 8?12 hours, after which the whole body should be washed thoroughly.| Is one application enough to cure scabies?::: In most people, a single application is enough. If symptoms persist, new lesions appear, or healing does not occur, a second application may be given after at least 7 days, as advised by a doctor.| Why does itching continue even after treatment?::: Itching may continue for up to 4 weeks after treatment, even when the scabies mites are dead. This is a common allergic reaction to dead mites under the skin and does not necessarily mean treatment failure.| Are there any special precautions while using AL Pthrin 5% Cream?::: AL Pthrin 5% Cream is for external use only and should not be applied to broken skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. AL Pthrin 5% Cream is a synthetic pyrethroid that acts on the nerve cells of scabies mites, causing paralysis and death of the mites and their eggs. It works by disrupting the normal function of nerve cell membranes in scabies mites. This action helps eliminate the mites responsible for scabies and allows the skin to heal.
