Akubliss Oral Solution is an anti-allergic medicine. It is given to children to treat a wide range of symptoms associated with allergic conditions such as hay fever, urticaria (hives), conjunctivitis (red, itchy eye), and the common cold. These symptoms may include watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and itching. Akubliss Oral Solution can be taken one hour before or two hours after food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Remember dosage is decided on the basis of the type of medicine (tablet or syrup ), age, and present medical condition of the person. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. If you do not observe any improvement in the symptoms, consult with the doctor.The most common side effects of this medicine include headaches and drowsiness. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Generally, it is advised to drink plenty of fluids while on treatment with this medicine. To overcome dizziness, avoid driving or attention-seeking activities until you know how the medicine affects you.Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Do not panic. Unless your child?s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up on any missed dose, follow the prescribed dosing schedule strictly.
My child is restless and unable to sleep properly at night. Can I give Akubliss Oral Solution?::: No, although this medicine causes drowsiness as a side effect, it should not be given to induce sleep in children. Consult your child?s doctor if your child has trouble sleeping as it could be due to some other underlying condition.| My child is 2 years old and suffering from skin allergies. Is it safe to give Akubliss Oral Solution?::: Safety studies of Akubliss Oral Solution in children less than 6 years of age are not available. Keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children to avoid any accidental intake.
Akubliss Oral Solution belongs to a class of medicines called antihistamines. It blocks the natural chemical substance (histamine) produced in the body during an allergic state. It also subsides (lowers) your child?s immune system?s response to these conditions, thereby reducing the symptoms.
