You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Akmestrep Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. | - Liver : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
There is limited data available on the use of Akmestrep Capsule in patients with liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Akmestrep Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

However, do consult your doctor regarding the same.| Is Akmestrep Capsule addictive?::: No, Akmestrep Capsule is a safe and non-addictive anti-diarrheal drug.| Can Akmestrep Capsule be used for stomach cramps, nausea, stomach flu, rota virus diarrhea and gas?::: Akmestrep Capsule may benefit few cases of stomach cramps or nausea associated with diarrhea. It is sometimes used for stomach flu, rota virus diarrhea. It is not used for gas. Please consult your doctor before taking the drug.| Can I take Akmestrep Capsule with cimetidine?::: Cimetidine can decrease the metabolism of Akmestrep Capsule, increase its blood levels and hence, increase its effects and side effects. Your dose of Akmestrep Capsule may needs to be decreased. Consult your doctor prior to taking both the drugs together.
Akmestrep Capsule is an anti-diarrhoeal medication. It works by slowing down the contraction of the intestines thereby decreasing the speed at which the contents pass through it. This allows more time for reabsorption of fluids and nutrients, making the stools more solid and less frequent.
-Domperidone (Oral Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Loperamide with Domperidone. Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and can be fatal.
| -Amiodarone (Oral Route): Severe
Talk to your doctor if you experience Loperamide side effects associated with your heart or nerves. Concurrent use may cause fatal disturbances in the heart rhythm.
