So, make sure that all the medicines are kept away from their reach and sight.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Aflotru MZS Syrup?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| My child has been passing red-brown urine ever since he started taking Aflotru MZS Syrup? Is it normal?::: Aflotru MZS Syrup contains active ingredient metronidazole, which causes red-brown urine. It is not pathogenic but a side effect. It subsides once the medicine is stopped after the completion of the treatment.

Aflotru MZS Syrup is a combination of three active ingredients. While two of its ingredients, namely ofloxacin and metronidazole are antibiotics, simethicone is a gas-absorbing agent that improves gastric tolerability of the combination. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA. This kills the infection-causing bacteria, preventing its growth and stopping the infection. On the other hand, Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem. By doing so, it aids in the removal of gases and provides relief in stomach pain and bloating.
