In Low blood pressure Aficard 2mg Injection is used to normalise decreased blood pressure (hypotension) which may occur all of a sudden during an operation, severe infection (sepsis) or due to an emergency condition (cardiac arrest). This medicine helps to bring back the blood pressure within normal range and therefore prevents any sudden fall or even serious complications that might have otherwise followed due to low blood pressure.

What is Aficard 2mg Injection used for? ::: Aficard 2mg Injection is used to quickly raise dangerously low blood pressure in emergencies, such as severe infections (septic shock), major blood loss, or serious heart problems where blood pressure drops to unsafe levels.| Who decides the dose of Aficard 2mg Injection, and can it be changed? ::: The intensive?care team (doctors and critical?care nurses) continuously adjust the dose of Aficard 2mg Injection based on your blood pressure and heart monitoring. The drip is turned up or down minute?by?minute to keep your blood pressure high enough to supply your organs, but not higher than necessary.| How quickly does Aficard 2mg Injection start working? ::: When given intravenously, Aficard 2mg Injection starts working within minutes and reaches a steady effect very quickly. Because the effect is so fast, staff keep very close watch on your blood pressure, heart rhythm, and urine output while you are on the drip.| Why do I need IV fluids as well as Aficard 2mg Injection? ::: Aficard 2mg Injection squeezes blood vessels to raise pressure, but it does not replace lost blood volume or fluids. That is why doctors give IV fluids first and then add Aficard 2mg Injection if your pressure is still too low, so that both blood volume and vessel tone are corrected.\u003cbr>| Is Aficard 2mg Injection a life?long medicine? ::: No, Aficard 2mg Injection is strictly a short?term, emergency medicine used only while you are critically ill and being closely monitored. Once the underlying problem (like infection or bleeding) is controlled and your blood pressure stabilizes, the team slowly reduces and stops the drip.\u003cbr>| Why is the nurse checking the IV site so often during the infusion of Aficard 2mg Injection? ::: If Aficard 2mg Injection accidentally leaks outside the vein into the surrounding tissue, it can cut down blood flow to that area and damage the skin. Nurses regularly inspect the IV site for pain, swelling, or color change and will move the line if there is any concern.
Aficard 2mg Injection works by tightening (constricting) blood vessels and increasing the pumping force of the heart, which raises blood pressure and improves blood flow to vital organs.
