Affobis AM 5 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). This is a combination of two medicines that control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. It helps to lower high blood pressure and thus reduces the chances of future heart attack and stroke. You can take Affobis AM 5 Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor advises. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Stopping it may worsen your condition. It also blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force. As a result, your blood pressure is lowered and this helps in reducing your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to be effective, so keep taking it even if you feel well. Do not stop without talking to your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Affobis AM 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
