In Cancer Adrib Injection helps to treat certain kinds of cancer. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat cancer in various parts of the body. Adrib Injection kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. It is a potent and very toxic medicine and you should discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Adrib Injection is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. | - Breast feeding : UNSAFE
Adrib Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby. | - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
It is not known whether Adrib Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor.As there is a frequent occurrence of nausea and vomiting with Adrib Injection so driving should be discouraged. | - Kidney : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
There is limited data available on the use of Adrib Injection in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease. | - Liver : CAUTION
Adrib Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

How does doxorubicin work?::: Doxorubicin is anti-cancer or antineoplastic chemotherapy drug that belongs to a class of medications called anthracyclines. It slows down or stops the growth of cancer cells by interfering with DNA of the cancer cells. This helps treat the cancer.| Is doxorubicin a vesicant?::: Yes doxorubicin is a vesicant (irritant).
Adrib Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by suppressing the activity of an enzyme (topoisomerase II) involved in DNA multiplication of the cancer cells. It also forms harmful chemicals (free radicals) which cause DNA damage. This slows the growth of cancer cells and eventually kills them.
-Pegfilgrastim (Injection Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Doxorubicin (Plain) from 14 days before until 24 days after taking Pegfilgrastim. Please consult your doctor. Concurrent use may cause a decrease in the ability of the bone marrow to produce blood cells.
| -Sargramostim (Injection Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Doxorubicin (Plain) from 1 day before until 1 day after taking Sargramostim. Please consult your doctor. Concurrent use may cause a decrease in the ability of the bone marrow to produce blood cells.
| -Lenograstim (Injection Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Lenograstim from 24 hours before until 24 hours after undergoing cytotoxic chemotherapy. Concurrent use may cause a decrease in the ability of the bone marrow to produce blood cells.
| -Molgramostim (Injection Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Doxorubicin (Plain) from 1 day before until 1 day after taking Molgramostim. Please consult your doctor. Concurrent use may cause a decrease in the ability of the bone marrow to produce blood cells.
| -Natalizumab (Injection Route): Life-threatening
Do not consume Natalizumab with Doxorubicin (Plain). Concomitant use may increase the risk of opportunistic infections.
