It reduces allergic reactions by reducing inflammatory response caused by the release of a chemical called histamine, that is responsible for various symptoms of allergic reactions like shortness of breath, hives, swelling, inflammation etc.

Adrenaline is an alpha- and beta-adrenergic agonist. It relaxes muscles in your lungs and relieves spasm, wheezing, and shortness of breath that occurs during a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
