In Herpes labialis Herpes labialis, commonly known as cold sores, is a viral infection that primarily affects the lip. Symptoms typically include a burning pain followed by small blisters or sores. The first attack may also be accompanied by fever, sore throat, and enlarged lymph nodes. Acylin 800 Tablet DT can speed up healing of herpes labialis and also prevent recurrence of the sores.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Acylin 800 Tablet DT may be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose of Acylin 800 Tablet DT, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Herpes infections are contagious, so avoid letting infected areas come into contact with other people. Avoid touching your eyes after touching an infected area. Wash your hands frequently to prevent transmitting the infection to others. You should practice safe sex by using condoms. You should not have sex if you have genital sores or blisters.| What are the serious side effects of Acylin 800 Tablet DT?::: Serious side effects are rare, but if you experience them, you should seek medical advice right away. These rare side effects include hives, blistering or peeling rash, yellow skin or eyes, unusual bruising or bleeding, loss of consciousness, fits, difficulty in breathing, hallucinations and swelling of the face, tongue, lips or throat.| Do elderly patients need to be more careful while taking Acylin 800 Tablet DT?::: Older adults (over age 65 years) tend to experience more side effects when taking Acylin 800 Tablet DT. The reason being, their kidneys do not flush the drug out of their system as quickly as a younger person?s kidneys would do. Elderly patients should drink plenty of water while taking Acylin 800 Tablet DT, and their kidney function should be monitored. These patients should be given a lower dose and should be monitored for neurological problems.| What can happen if somebody takes more than the recommended dose of Acylin 800 Tablet DT accidentally?::: Accidental, repeated overdoses of oral Acylin 800 Tablet DT over several days have resulted in nausea, vomiting, confusion and headache. Consult your doctor in case of overdose.| Can I get resistant to Acylin 800 Tablet DT treatment?::: Patients with advanced HIV disease or patients with an impaired immunity have reported resistance to Acylin 800 Tablet DT. If you are not responding to Acylin 800 Tablet DT, the possibility of drug resistance should be checked.| Is hair loss caused due to Acylin 800 Tablet DT permanent?::: Hair loss is an uncommon side effect of Acylin 800 Tablet DT. Acylin 800 Tablet DT is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of virus in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.
-Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (Oral Route): Severe
Do not consume Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate with Acyclovir. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your kidney function closely. Concurrent use may increase the risk of kidney damage.

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your tacrolimus levels, potassium levels and kidney function closely. They may adjust the doses as per the observations. Concurrent use may increase the risk of kidney damage.

Caution is advised when taking Ciclosporin with Acyclovir. Your doctor may closely monitor the effects of Acyclovir if used concurrently with Ciclosporin and adjust the dose if needed. Acyclovir may raise blood levels of Ciclosporin.Concurrent use may cause kidney dysfunction.
