In Treatment of Bacterial infections Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine and is used to treat certain bacterial infections such as meningitis (infection of the brain), pneumonia (infection of the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs that may cause infertility) and infections of ear, abdomen, urinary tract, skin, bones and joints. Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is also sometimes given before certain types of surgery to prevent infections that may develop after the operation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.Dose adjustment of Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Acuzone Plus 500mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.
