How long does it take for Actorise 100 Injection to start working?::: You will be able to notice an increase in the count of red blood cells (hemoglobin levels) in 2-6 weeks of starting Actorise 100 Injection. If you have any other concerns, consult your doctor.| Is Actorise 100 Injection safe to use?::: Actorise 100 Injection is a medicine that needs to be used with utmost care because it can lead to serious side effects and even death of the patient. It is important that you seek treatment from a doctor who is experienced in providing Actorise 100 Injection therapy. Follow all the directions strictly.| Other than pure red cell aplasia (PRCA), can there be other reasons for not responding to Actorise 100 Injection?::: You may not respond to Actorise 100 Injection if you have deficiencies of iron, folic acid, or vitamin B12. It is important that you take measures to correct these deficiencies. Other reasons behind not responding to the treatment could be bleeding, infections, inflammation, and bone marrow fibrosis. Therefore, consult our doctor regarding the same.| Can Actorise 100 Injection be used in children?::: Yes, Actorise 100 Injection is used to treat anemia due to chronic kidney disease in children who are above 1 year of age. The effectiveness of Actorise 100 Injection and side effects seen in children are similar to adults. However, consult your doctor if you are not sure.| Can Actorise 100 Injection affect blood pressure?::: Yes, Actorise 100 Injection can affect blood pressure. During initial therapy with Actorise 100 Injection, blood pressure should be monitored and those who have high blood pressure should take appropriate measures to control blood pressure. Your doctor may stop Actorise 100 Injection if the blood pressure remains uncontrolled.| Who should not take Actorise 100 Injection?::: Individuals who have cancer but have not been prescribed Actorise 100 Injection by the doctor should not take it. Additionally, patients with uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure), patients with a history of anemia called pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) that starts after treatment with Actorise 100 Injection or other erythropoietin medicines, and patients with a history of serious allergic reaction to this medicine should not take this medicine.

Actorise 100 Injection is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA). It works by stimulating the bone marrow (soft tissue inside the bones which produces red blood cells) to produce more red blood cells.

-Thalidomide (Oral Route): Moderate

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, unusual paleness, easy bruising or bleeding and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the doses as per the observations. Darbepoetin alfa may raise blood levels of Thalidomide.

| -Pomalidomide (Oral Route): Moderate

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as unusual bleeding, swelling in one leg or arm, new or worsening chest pain or sudden shortness of breath and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the doses as per the observations. Concurrent use may increase the risk of formation of blood clots.

| -Lenalidomide (Oral Route): Moderate

Avoid combination if possible; if concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor for signs of clotting.

| -Telmisartan (Oral Route): Mild

Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure and potassium levels during the simultaneous use of these medicines. Telmisartan may reduce efficacy of Darbepoetin alfa.Darbepoetin alfa may reduce efficacy of Telmisartan. Concurrent use may increase the risk of high blood potassium levels.

| -Losartan (Oral Route): Mild

Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure and potassium levels during the simultaneous use of these medicines. Losartan may reduce efficacy of Darbepoetin alfa.Darbepoetin alfa may reduce efficacy of Losartan. Concurrent use may increase the risk of high blood potassium levels.
