If you miss a dose of Actide 0.05mg Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.\\n
What should I monitor when taking Actide 0.05mg Injection?::: Seek immediate medical help if you have lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting, chest pain or discomfort, slow or irregular heartbeat, trouble breathing, or unusual tiredness. These may be symptoms of heart rhythm problems.| I am experiencing nausea. Is this due to Actide 0.05mg Injection?::: Nausea is one of the common side-effects of this medicine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals to reduce the feeling of nausea. Avoid food that is salty, spicy, fried, or fatty.| Does Actide 0.05mg Injection result in thyroid disorders?::: Yes, Actide 0.05mg Injection may suppress the secretion of thyroid-stimulating hormone, which may result in hypothyroidism.| Does Actide 0.05mg Injection affect blood sugar?::: Yes, Actide 0.05mg Injection may cause your blood sugar levels to rise or fall resulting in a dose change of insulin or other anti-diabetic medications. You will be advised to regularly monitor your sugar level while on treatment with Actide 0.05mg Injection.| Does Actide 0.05mg Injection cause diarrhea?::: Diarrhea could be a side-effect of Actide 0.05mg Injection. Stick to simple meals, avoid rich or spicy food, and drink plenty of water while taking Actide 0.05mg Injection. Consult your doctor if you have severe diarrhea.| Does Actide 0.05mg Injection cause constipation?::: Yes, Actide 0.05mg Injection may cause constipation. Try to eat a well-balanced diet with lots of fibre and drink plenty of water. Do not take any laxatives without consulting your doctor.| I am experiencing a headache, is it due to Actide 0.05mg Injection?::: Yes, headache is one of the side effects of Actide 0.05mg Injection. Take rest and drink plenty of water and ask a pharmacist to recommend a suitable painkiller. If the headache continues, speak with your doctor.| How will you know that Actide 0.05mg Injection is working?::: Regular scans will reveal whether your tumor is responding to the treatment. Your doctor will determine when those scans should be scheduled.
Actide 0.05mg Injection is a similar to somatostatin, a substance normally found in the human body which inhibits the effects of certain hormones such as growth hormone. It also lowers the bleeding from the food pipe by constricting (narrowing) the blood vessels.
