It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.| Can the use of Acropin-MR Tablet cause damage to the kidneys?::: Yes, the long-term use of Acropin-MR Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Healthy kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins, which help protect them from damage. Long-term use of painkillers reduces prostaglandin levels in the body, increasing the risk of kidney damage. The use of painkillers is not recommended for patients with underlying kidney disease.| What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Acropin-MR Tablet?::: Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Acropin-MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etodolac and Thiocolchicoside. Etodolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasms. It relieves pain and improves the movement of muscles.
