Acropin-MR Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves muscle movement and alleviates pain and discomfort caused by muscle spasms. Acropin-MR Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and take in the exact dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.Some of the common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, diarrhea, indigestion, and sleepiness. If these side effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should first consult their doctors before using the medicine.

In Pain due to muscle spasm Acropin-MR Tablet treats pain due to muscle spasm by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acropin-MR Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Acropin-MR Tablet is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. | - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Acropin-MR Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor. | - Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Acropin-MR Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor. | - Kidney : CAUTION

Acropin-MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. | - Liver : CAUTION

If you miss a dose of Acropin-MR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Will Acropin-MR Tablet be more effective if taken in higher doses?::: Taking a higher dose of this medicine will not enhance its effectiveness; instead, it may increase the risk of side effects. If your symptoms worsen, consult your doctor for a reassessment.| Can Acropin-MR Tablet be stopped when my pain is relieved?::: Acropin-MR Tablet is usually used for short-term and can be discontinued when the pain is relieved. However, Acropin-MR Tablet should be continued if the doctor advises you to do so.| Can the use of Acropin-MR Tablet cause dizziness?::: Yes, the use of Acropin-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.| Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Acropin-MR Tablet?::: Acropin-MR Tablet should not be used by people who are allergic to painkillers or any ingredient in this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or active, recurrent stomach ulcers/bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.| Can the use of Acropin-MR Tablet cause damage to the kidneys?::: Yes, the long-term use of Acropin-MR Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Healthy kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins, which help protect them from damage. Long-term use of painkillers reduces prostaglandin levels in the body, increasing the risk of kidney damage. The use of painkillers is not recommended for patients with underlying kidney disease.| What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Acropin-MR Tablet?::: Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, or other people.
Acropin-MR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etodolac and Thiocolchicoside. Etodolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasms. It relieves pain and improves the movement of muscles.
