What is Acplen C Cream used for and how does it work?::: Acplen C Cream is used to treat inflamed skin conditions with possible infection, such as eczema, insect bites, dermatitis, and certain rashes when prescribed by a doctor. It contains betamethasone, a corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling, and itching, and clioquinol, an antimicrobial that helps control infection. Together, they help calm skin inflammation and limit microbial growth. It should be used only on the affected skin area for the duration advised by the doctor because overuse may cause skin side effects.| Can Acplen C Cream be used for skin whitening?::: No, Acplen C Cream should not be used for skin whitening. It should only be used for the condition and duration prescribed by your doctor. Misuse of steroid-containing medicines on normal skin can lead to side effects such as skin thinning, acne, or pigmentation changes. Always follow medical advice when using this medicine.| Does Acplen C Cream cause staining of hair or clothes?::: Yes, Acplen C Cream may sometimes cause staining of hair, skin, or clothing. To avoid this, apply the medicine carefully only on the affected area and cover it with a light dressing if advised by your doctor. Wash hands after application to prevent accidental staining.| Is Acplen C Cream used to treat diaper rash?::: No, Acplen C Cream should not be used for diaper rash unless specifically prescribed by a doctor. Applying steroid-containing medicines under a diaper can increase absorption through the skin and may cause unwanted side effects in children. Always consult a doctor before using this medicine in infants or young children.| Can Acplen C Cream be used on the face?::: Acplen C Cream should be used on the face only if advised by a doctor. Facial skin is thinner and more sensitive, so prolonged use may cause side effects such as skin thinning or acne. If prescribed for the face, it is usually used only for a short duration and should not be applied under bandages or coverings.| How long should I use Acplen C Cream?::: Acplen C Cream should be used only for the duration recommended by your doctor. It is usually applied for a short period, and prolonged use without medical advice is not recommended. Apply it only on clean, dry affected skin and avoid the eyes, broken skin, or tight bandaging unless advised by a doctor. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your doctor.| Can Acplen C Cream be used for pimples?::: No, Acplen C Cream is not recommended for treating pimples or acne. Although it may temporarily reduce redness, the steroid component can worsen acne or cause skin thinning if used on the face without medical advice. If you have persistent acne, consult a doctor for appropriate treatment instead of using this medicine on your own.| Who should avoid Acplen C Cream?::: Acplen C Cream should not be used without medical advice in children, on broken skin, or for untreated infections such as fungal or viral infections. Use with caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding.| Can Acplen C Cream interact with other medicines?::: Yes, Acplen C Cream may interact with certain medicines, especially if you are using other skin treatments or steroid-containing products. Always inform your doctor about all medicines you use, including over-the-counter products and supplements. Combining multiple treatments without advice may increase side effects or reduce effectiveness.| Can Acplen C Cream be used for fungal infections?::: Acplen C Cream may help in some skin conditions where infection is present, but it should not be used for fungal infections alone unless advised by your doctor. Incorrect use may worsen the condition.
Acplen C Cream is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin). Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) is an antibiotic with additional antifungal action. It works by preventing the growth and multiplication of both bacteria and fungi.
