Acnetoin 20mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. It is effective in most infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, and skin. It stops the bacteria from growing, which helps resolve the symptoms and clear the infection. Acnetoin 20mg Tablet is taken orally, preferably either one hour before or 2 hours after a meal. It is best absorbed when taken on an empty stomach. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.Common side effects seen with this medicine include vomiting, nausea, pain in the abdomen, and diarrhea. These are generally temporary and go away once the treatment is completed. Consult your doctor if you find these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.Inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy or heart problems before taking this medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

These include infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs and skin. It stops the growth of the bacteria causing the infection and clears the infection. Take it for as long as prescribed by the doctor and avoid skipping doses. This will make sure that all bacteria are killed and they do not become resistant.

Acnetoin 20mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. | - Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Acnetoin 20mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Acnetoin 20mg Tablet is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of this medicine may affect hearing in patients with severe kidney disease. | - Liver : CAUTION

Acnetoin 20mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Acnetoin 20mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of this medicine in liver disease patients can cause hearing loss.

Can the use of Acnetoin 20mg Tablet cause diarrhea?::: Yes, the use of Acnetoin 20mg Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic that kills harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach and intestines and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, consult your doctor.| How long does Acnetoin 20mg Tablet takes to work?::: Usually, Acnetoin 20mg Tablet starts working soon after taking it. However, it may take some days to kill all the harmful bacteria and make you feel better.| What if I don't get better after using Acnetoin 20mg Tablet?::: Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.| Can I stop taking Acnetoin 20mg Tablet when my symptoms are relieved?::: No, do not stop taking Acnetoin 20mg Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.| Can the use of Acnetoin 20mg Tablet cause infertility?::: There is no evidence to suggest that the use of Acnetoin 20mg Tablet will cause infertility in males or females.

-Pimozide (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Pimozide with Erythromycin. Concomitant use may affect heart rhythm and may be fatal.

| -Simvastatin (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Simvastatin with Erythromycin. If Erythromycin is essential, your doctor may temporarily stop Simvastatin. Erythromycin may raise blood levels of Simvastatin.Concurrent use may cause muscle damage.

| -Lovastatin (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Lovastatin with Erythromycin. If Erythromycin is essential, your doctor may temporarily stop Lovastatin. Erythromycin may raise blood levels of Lovastatin.Concurrent use may cause serious damage to muscles.

| -Disopyramide (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Disopyramide with Erythromycin. If concurrent use is essential, please consult your doctor. Factors such as old age, chronic heart issues, or low potassium levels may more frequently cause disturbance in heart rhythm, and your doctor may consider ECG monitoring in their presence. Concurrent use may cause serious disturbance in heart rhythm.

| -Carbamazepine (Oral Route): Severe

Do not consume Carbamazepine with Erythromycin. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as impaired coordination, double vision, dizziness or confusion and consult your doctor if you experience them. Erythromycin may raise blood levels of Carbamazepine.
