Acicod 10mg Tablet is a pain relieving medicine. It helps to relieve moderate to severe pain. It is also used for treatment of dry cough. It provides temporary relief from the cough or similar upper respiratory symptoms associated with allergy or common cold. Acicod 10mg Tablet is only prescribed to individuals who are at least 18 years of age or above. It may be habit forming and should be taken only as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms, for the shortest possible time. You should take this medicine regularly while you need it. Try not to miss doses as this will make the medicine less effective.Some common side effects of this medicine include drowsiness, lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, and sweating. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. It works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain. It can help relieve pain in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.\u003cbr>Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. This will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acicod 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Acicod 10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
What is Acicod 10mg Tablet used for?::: Acicod 10mg Tablet is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. It is also used, usually in combination with other medications, to reduce coughing.| Is Acicod 10mg Tablet addictive?::: Yes, it is possible to become addicted to this medicine. Always follow your doctor's instructions to reduce the risks of becoming addicted.| How will I know if I'm addicted to it?::: If you're addicted to this medicine, you may want to take it more often or feel agitated if you delay taking a dose for any reason. And if you stop taking it suddenly you may suffer from withdrawal symptoms (feeling irritable or anxious, trouble sleeping, faster heartbeat). Talk to your doctor for advice if you are worried about addiction.| Will Acicod 10mg Tablet affect my fertility?::: There are no confirmed studies to show that Acicod 10mg Tablet affects your fertility if taken for a short time and at normal doses. However, if you've been taking it for a long time and you are concerned about your fertility, or you are trying to get pregnant, speak to your doctor.| Does Acicod 10mg Tablet cause constipation?::: Yes, you may experience severe constipation after taking this medicine. Include fiber-rich food and increase your water intake. You may also consult your doctor to prescribe you a laxative or stool softener to get some relief.| Who is codeine not suitable for?::: FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has restricted the use of codeine to treat pain or cough in children younger than 12 years. This is because it poses serious risks, including slowed or difficult breathing and death, which appear to be a greater risk in children younger than 12 years. Along with this, this medicine is also not recommended to breastfeeding mothers due to the risk of serious adverse reactions in breastfed infants. These include excess sleepiness, difficulty breastfeeding, or serious breathing problems which can be fatal.
Acicod 10mg Tablet is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
-Naltrexone (Oral Route): Life-threatening

Do not consume Naltrexone with Codeine; watch out for symptoms such as breathlessness, increased heart rate, or headache. Naltrexone may reduce efficacy of Codeine.

| -Alprazolam (Oral Route): Severe

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Alprazolam side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. | -Chlordiazepoxide (Oral Route): Severe

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Chlordiazepoxide side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Chlordiazepoxide as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness. Concurrent use may cause increased sleepliness, slow breathing, and even death.

| -Clobazam (Oral Route): Severe

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Clobazam side effects such as drowsiness, excessive sedation, tiredness, dizziness or slurred speech and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Clobazam as per the observations. It is advised to avoid driving or undertaking other tasks requiring skill and alertness. Concurrent use may cause increased sleepliness, slow breathing, and even death.
