Acesone 1% Cream is a topical steroid used for the treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory skin disorders. It prevents the release of substances that cause inflammation and provides relief from swelling, redness, and itching in the affected area. Acesone 1% Cream is meant only for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. You should normally clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine evenly on the affected skin. You should not apply it to open wounds or damaged skin. Use it regularly to get the maximum benefit from it.It is usually well tolerated with little or no side effects. However, it may cause application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness in some people. These side effects are temporary and usually go away with time. However, if they persist or worsen, let your doctor know.Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers need to consult their doctors before using this medicine. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with plenty of water in case of accidental contact. Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor.Acesone 1% Cream is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the medicine or any of its constituent ingredients. Patients with tuberculosis or fungal infections and/or herpes infections of the eyes, lips, or genitals should also avoid the use of Acesone 1% Cream or consult a doctor.Acesone 1% Cream should not be used under waterproof dressings unless advised to do so by a physician. Acesone 1% Cream should not be used to treat acne. Acesone 1% Cream should not be used for external feminine itching if a vaginal discharge is present. It is not to be used for external anal itching if bleeding is present.

In Treatment of Skin disorders Acesone 1% Cream prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. It can be used to treat a great many different inflammatory and allergic conditions of the skin such as eczema, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. It works by lowering your immune system?s response to these conditions thereby reducing symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching and other allergic-type reactions.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Acesone 1% Cream is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks. | - Breast feeding : CAUTION

If you miss a dose of Acesone 1% Cream, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose.
Can Acesone 1% Cream be used on the face?::: No, Acesone 1% Cream should not be used on the face. In addition to this, Acesone 1% Cream should not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin, and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In some cases, doctors may decide to use it if they believe it's necessary. It should be used only after consultation with your physician, and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.| Can we use Acesone 1% Cream in infections?::: Acesone 1% Cream is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections. As a corticosteroid, it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using Acesone 1% Cream. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of Acesone 1% Cream and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.| How to use Acesone 1% Cream?::: Before using the Acesone 1% Cream, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage the medication into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Acesone 1% Cream accidentally gets in your eyes, wash them with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.| Can I stop taking Acesone 1% Cream when my symptoms are relieved?::: No, do not stop taking Acesone 1% Cream and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Acesone 1% Cream before your treatment is completed can bring back your skin symptoms.| What are the precautions that are needed to be taken while using Acesone 1% Cream?::: Acesone 1% Cream should not be used on the face. Do not use the medication for longer periods than you have been advised. Do not apply a bandage or dressing to the area being treated, as this will increase absorption of the preparation and increase the risk of side effects. This medicine should only be used when advised by the doctor and never given to other people, even if their condition appears to be the same as yours.| Who should not use Acesone 1% Cream?::: Acesone 1% Cream should not be used in people who are allergic to Acesone 1% Cream or any of its ingredients. It should also be avoided if a person has any kind of infection of the skin, eyes, etc. It is important to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a baby, or breastfeeding to avoid any harm to your baby.| What should I do if I forget to use Acesone 1% Cream?::: If you forget to use the Acesone 1% Cream, do not worry; take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular schedule. Do not double the dose. However, if you are not sure and have any other doubts, please consult your doctor.
