If you miss a dose of A-Bec Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

This helps to reduce the level of HIV in the blood.| What is A-Bec Tablet? What is it used for?::: A-Bec Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antiretrovirals. It is used to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which if not controlled can cause AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Effective control of HIV can also improve the working of the immune system.| Is A-Bec Tablet effective?::: A-Bec Tablet is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using A-Bec Tablet too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.| What is A-Bec Tablet hypersensitivity reaction?::: The use of A-Bec Tablet may cause a serious or life-threatening allergic or hypersensitivity reaction. In this, one may experience fever, skin rash, nausea, vomit, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, severe tiredness and headache. Other symptoms of hypersensitivity may include joint or muscle pain, swelling of the neck, shortness of breath, sore throat, cough and occasionally inflammation of the eye (conjunctivitis), mouth ulcers, low blood pressure, tingling or numbness of the hands or feet. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of these symptoms and stop taking A-Bec Tablet immediately.| What if I forget to take a dose of A-Bec Tablet?::: If you forget a dose of A-Bec Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose in the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.

A-Bec Tablet is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of virus in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.

-Carbamazepine (Oral Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Carbamazepine may reduce blood levels of Abacavir.

| -Fosphenytoin (Injection Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Fosphenytoin may reduce blood levels of Abacavir.

| -Interferon Alpha 2A (Injection Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Concurrent use may increase the risk of lactic acid buildup in the blood and functional damage to the liver in patients with hepatitis C.

| -Orlistat (Oral Route): Moderate

Your doctor may monitor the effects of Abacavir and adjust the doses as per the observations. Orlistat may reduce the absorption of Abacavir.

| -Phenobarbitone (Oral Route): Moderate
